As of today, the 2011 FLW Fantasy Fishing season is officially underway. The new website has been launched, rosters are set and all the tools are in place to make your Lake Okeechobee picks. If you're new to the game, here's a quick synopsis. FLW Fantasy Fishing mirrors the 2011 Walmart FLW Tour, the Major Leagues of professional bass fishing. All you need to do is sign up, pick a team of 10 anglers and you have a chance at winning some great prizes. As always, the game is free to play.

MINNEAPOLIS — In his first-ever FLW Tour win June 26, pro Brent Long of Cornelius, N.C., won the final event of the 2010 FLW Tour regular season on Lake Guntersville to help Cynthia Storey of Mankato, Minn., win $5,000 in FLW Fantasy Fishing competition.

For both pros and fantasy players, there is a lot at stake next week on Alabama's Lake Guntersville, the final regular season stop on the 2010 FLW Tour. In addition to the tournament purse, the pros are fishing for a berth in the Forrest Wood Cup, the richest championship in professional bass fishing. And for a select few, the coveted Angler of the Year award is also on the line. Right now AOY looks like a two-man race between Bryan Thrift and Brent Ehrler. But if those two stumble, you can bet Ish Monroe and Andy Morgan will be there to capitalize.

Norman wins FLW Fantasy Fishing Lake Ouachita event

MINNEAPOLIS – National Guard pro Brent Ehrler of Redlands, Calif., won the FLW Tour event on Lake Ouachita to help Bruce Norman of San Francisco, Calif., win $5,000 in FLW Fantasy Fishing. In a tournament that see-sawed back and forth between local favorites and Western anglers, Ehrler prevailed for his second FLW Tour victory of the season.

This is your last-minute reminder – Lake Ouachita picks are due tonight by 11:59 p.m. ET. And those fantasy players with Ramie Colson Jr. on their roster will have to make an eleventh-hour substitution. Colson, the Lake Barkley expert, has withdrawn from the tournament over concerns stemming from a possible rules infraction.

MINNEAPOLIS – In a tournament that was filled with surprises and went down to the end, few people were happier with the final outcome than Marc McIntyre of Baton Rouge, La. McIntyre won $5,000 playing FLW Fantasy Fishing as pro Glenn Browne of Ocala, Fla., won the FLW Tour event on the Fort Loudoun-Tellico lakes Saturday, April 24.
